PANORAMA ON THE iPHONE

I was at a wedding this weekend. It was a perfect day for it. For those that live in Vancouver, you'll agree a hot sunny October day is not normal. Luck was on my friends side and she had a beautiful outdoor wedding in Van Dousen Gardens.

I decided to test out the Panorama option on my iPhone... Have I mentioned before how much I love my phone. The shot turned out great.

My First iPhone Blog Post!

This is exciting stuff. Now I can post from ANYWHERE...

I thought I would let you know about a new photo app that I really enjoying. It's call Pic Jointer. It's one of the free ones which makes me very happy.

I took 3 photos and put them in Pic Jointer. Then saved it and opened it in Instagram to edit it a bit more. Sorry it's not my best photo work.

LOVIN' MY iPHONE

I upgraded my old beat up iPhone 3 for a 4s.  I can't believe how much I'm doing with it.. it's like and extension of myself now...haha just kidding.. sorta.  The camera on it is amazing!! The pictures are sharp and clear with almost no noise at all.  Instagram never really did anything on my old iPhone and I couldn't figure out why everyone was getting such amazing shots using it.  Now I know!!  Here is my latest taken at sunset in English Bay.

VANCOUVER 420

I completely forgot that today was 420.  It wasn't until I was close to work (conveniently located next door to the Art Gallery) did I notice the tents being set up, so on my lunch break I ran home and grabbed my camera.  I've been working in this building for a few years now and know that there can be quite a show when the clock strikes 420 and great opportunity for some shots.  I was not the only one with this idea.  Word of caution for those of you out there.... the WHOLE thing has been documented on video and on camera.  There is no hiding in the crowd.

Vertorama Photos

I've been trying to figure out how people make the photos where the bottom is enlarged and the top half is far away.  I finally found a video that shows how to do it.  I will be giving this technique a shot this week and show you what I come up with.

Here is the link to the video.

Playing In The Dim Room

I've upgraded to Photoshop CS5 and loving it.  There's an HDR feature that wasn't available (as far as I knew) on CS3.  CS3 let you create an HDR by combining 3 photos with different exposure levels.  On CS5 you can do it all with one shot.  I took this photo at sunset on Jericho beach.

I'm Watching YOU

Just kidding... I thought I would tell you guys about the photographer that I've been keeping an eye on.  I found her page on Facebook and even though I'm not really into fashion photography I've really liked some of the shots she's posted.  Here's the link to her website http://www.larajade.co.uk
